Reflecting on 2018: Your Support Delivered Holiday Joy Overseas!
As 2018 fades into memory and 2019 begins, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact you made on our deployed soldiers during the holiday season. The needs of our heroes overseas remain constant, and your generosity helped us deliver a powerful reminder of home.
We’re excited to share a glimpse into our final shipment of 2018, as captured in this heartfelt email exchange:
“Hi Jacob!
BR SOLDIER OUTREACH is so excited to let you know that a total of 15 boxes will be coming your way. There will be 8 bulk boxes (items too big to put in 1 gallon baggie and or smelly toiletries, etc) and 7 of the boxes will contain 127 individual bags for you to share with those on the vessel, especially if there are some that don’t receive much mail. We had an awesome group helping us with your shipment!
I have attached some pictures of us putting the care packages together so you can see what is coming your way! We would ask that you may email us pictures of ya’ll opening the boxes and/or give us some responses (pre-addressed envelopes are enclosed in individual bags) so that we may share with BR SOLDIER OUTREACH supporters.
Would you please, also email us of confirmation that you received the boxes and provide us with a couple pictures when you receive your boxes so they can be shared with our supporters. Receiving pictures from our soldiers seem to lift our members spirits as our hearts go out to all of you fighting for our freedom, as well as to validate that the packages are reaching our soldiers.
When you are back in Baton Rouge, our supporters would love to meet you and personally thank you for your service. We meet at BJ’s Brewhouse , by the Mall of Louisianan on Bluebonnet Blvd, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6-8. We would love to see you!
