Support Soldiers Overseas: February 2021 Care Package Needs
The February 2021 care package stuffing is almost here! On February 6, 2021, BR Soldier Outreach will host a quarterly care package event at the BRSO Warehouse (6150 Greenwell Springs Road, Baton Rouge) from 9–11 AM. This shipment will include packages for SSG Brandon Watson and his unit of 200 soldiers stationed overseas.
Special Requests for SSG Watson’s Unit
SSG Watson’s unit has unique needs due to their location. Here’s what they’ve requested:
- Hygiene products (loofahs).
- Glasses cleaning wipes.
- Non-perishable snacks.
- Electrolyte packets.
- Coffee.
- Laundry pods.
- Rat traps (to address local issues with rodents).
Generic Items We Always Need
These items are always appreciated and make a big difference:
- Snacks: Protein bars, chips, beef jerky, pretzels, cookies, trail mix, granola bars, and candy.
- Comfort Items: Germ-X, disposable razors, Q-tips, and crossword puzzle books.
- Holiday Favorites: Cheese crackers, Goldfish, and dried fruits.
