February 1, 2020 Soldier Stuffing Update: Valentine’s Cheer for Troops
Our February Soldier Stuffing event is just around the corner, and it’s extra special this time! Along with the usual snacks and comfort items, these care packages will include Valentine’s cards colored by supporters from all over South Louisiana.
You Made It Happen!
The response from individuals, school groups, and organizations has been incredible. Here’s how you came through:
- Valentine’s Cards: Hundreds of hand-colored cards were sent in to brighten soldiers’ days.
- Snack Donations: EBR Parish and surrounding parishes contributed generously to our February 1 care package stuffing.
We need your help with postage funds to send these packages to soldiers stationed in Germany and Qatar.
How You Can Support the Mission
- Donate Postage Funds: Visit our Donation Page to help cover shipping costs.
- Join Our Fundraiser: Stop by Mooyah’s Burgers, Fries, and Shakes at 6555 Siegen Lane on February 1 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Mention BR Soldier Outreach and a percentage of sales will go toward postage.
Exciting News: Mrs. Louisiana Is on Our Team!
We’re thrilled to share that our Event/Fundraiser Coordinator is none other than Mrs. Louisiana! She’s competing for Mrs. USA, and BR Soldier Outreach will receive a $1,000 donation if she wins the most votes. Cast your vote and support her campaign!
